The Henderson Centre
The Henderson Environmental Centre is situated at the end of Groat Street, North Beach, within the Star Swamp Reserve. Designed as a ‘sustainable’ building, facilities at the centre include:

Gazebo for outdoor activities

Kitchen with fridge, water urn and microwave

Large auditorium with trestle tables and chairs, white board and projector screen

Environmental displays in the foyer
Due to its unique location, the environmental centre is a popular venue for community events, school based educational programs, meetings, private functions, and the Department of Environment and Conservation’s ‘Nearer to Nature’ program.
The centre has been funded by long-time resident Mrs Emily Joyce Brushfield, the Western Australian Tourism Commission, the Department of Sport and Recreation, Karrinyup Rotary Club and the Lotteries Commission.
