The Friends of Star Swamp Bushland was formed in 1985 and is actively involved in the care and management of the reserve. The Friends group works closely with the City of Stirling which has vested authority for management of the reserve.

The Friends of Star Swamp Bushland is directly involved in the conservation of the Reserve through seed collection, revegetation, weeding and rubbish removal.

Guided nature walks are held at 8.00am on the fourth Saturday of each month, nocturnal walks are held several times each year and an annual Spring Wildflower Walk is also on the calendar.

Friends receive a quarterly newsletter with the latest news and coming events.  Activities include walks, members’ meetings, regular weeding and clean-up days and interaction with other related groups in the area.

New members are always welcome.  To join, contact the Secretary at starswamp@hotmail.com
